Personal Life
Brady’s personal life is deeply rooted in faith and family. He and his wife Christa both grew up in Houston and enjoy spending time with their nearby parents and siblings. They are actively involved in their church (they currently lead one of its house churches), and in his free time, Brady enjoys playing in the church volleyball league.
In 2017, he served with Mercy Ships, an organization of mobile hospitals that provides surgeries for different countries in West Africa. He spent a year aboard one of their ships as a Senior Accountant, and his wife, a nurse, spent several months serving as well.
In their free time, Brady and Christa love to travel, and recently spent four weeks in Europe exploring the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Brady is also a fan of disc golf and board games like Settlers of Catan and Dog.
Fun Facts about Brady
What’s your favorite book or the book that has most impacted your life?
I love books by Tim Butcher; he’s a former journalist who travels to historical locations and chronicles the true stories that happened there alongside his personal journeys in those areas.
If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That’s between barbeque and TexMex… But I’d probably have to say barbeque with good sides—macaroni and cheese, baked beans.
If you could choose any superpower to have, what would it be?
I would choose the ability to teleport. I like to travel, and sometimes I enjoy the journey to get there, but other times it would be nice to save the commuting time. We could see a lot more on the weekends, especially if you could get somewhere on a Friday afternoon without the hassle of flying. But it might make the jet lag even worse if you had zero time to adjust along the way…
What’s your favorite quote or saying?
“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.” – Yogi Berra
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an architect. I always liked to draw and doodle, and the idea of creating something unique and building it was really intriguing. When I got closer to college, I wanted to be a pharmacist; the chemistry of it was interesting to me.
Do you have a random talent or hobby?
I used to bowl; I went to state in high school and received some scholarship money for it.
